Join Strike as an Application Security Engineer. In this role, you will connect our security and engineering teams. Your focus will be on integrating security into our development processes.

About the Role

As an Application Security Engineer, you will ensure that security is a fundamental part of how we build. You will report to the Strike CISO and work with teams across the organization. This position is open to candidates located in the US or Europe.

What You'll Do

• Cross-Team Collaboration & Oversight: Participate in engineering activities such as Request for Comments (RFCs), Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), code reviews, and project planning meetings.
• Adversarial and Threat Analysis: Analyze features with security implications, including identity servers and authentication endpoints.
• Vulnerability Management: Own vulnerabilities found in code, ensuring they are assessed and mitigated properly.
• Infrastructure & Tooling Management: Manage Cloudflare controls and construct ingress Web Application Firewall rules. Use code analysis tools to integrate security into development processes.
• SIEM System Uplift: Create incident response workflows, alerting rules, and improve our Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system.
• Security Process Building: Define ownership and build scalable security capabilities. Collaborate with teams to empower engineers to handle security tasks.

What We're Looking For

• Engineering Background: Proven experience in development and coding.
• Google Cloud Platform and Kubernetes: Experience with deploying, designing, and managing GCP services and Kubernetes containers.
• Code Review Expertise: Ability to understand code, perform thorough reviews, and assess potential flaws.
• Security Mindset: Strong skills in threat analysis and risk assessment.
• Technical Proficiencies: Hands-on experience with SIEM systems, Terraform code, and firewall or Web Application Firewall (WAF) rules.

• Salary range for US-based positions: $195,000 - $210,000
