Data Engineer at Screenverse
Join Screenverse as a Data Engineer and help us build reliable and scalable data systems that make a difference. You will be a key player in our small engineering team, shaping data-driven decision-making for our growing customer base.
About the Role
As our founding Data Engineer, you will report to the Engineering Manager. Your primary focus will be on developing data infrastructure and ensuring data quality across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Build ETL pipelines and data infrastructure for reporting and analytics.
- Take ownership of data quality and reliability, ensuring trust in data for Finance, Sales, Customer Success, and Supply Partnership teams.
- Stabilize and improve existing Postgres-based data pipelines for billing and revenue reconciliation.
- Design and implement a migration to a modern data warehouse architecture.
- Contribute to the data strategy roadmap and drive infrastructure improvements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reliable data solutions.
- Establish data engineering best practices and documentation standards.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of data engineering experience, valuing quality over quantity.
- Expert-level SQL skills with a strong knowledge of PostgreSQL.
- Experience building and maintaining high-throughput production data pipelines.
- Ability to diagnose and fix complex data pipeline issues while planning for future needs.
- A data evangelist who champions best practices in monitoring, testing, and documentation.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration in a fully remote environment.
- Located in or between Pacific and Central Europe timezones, available for meetings between 10am and 1pm ET.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Elixir or a similar programming language.
- Previous experience as the first data hire or building data functions from scratch.
- Background in high-throughput systems or ad tech platforms.

Salary
The base salary range for this role is between $125,000 and $165,000 USD. Actual pay will depend on factors like location, experience, and skills.
