Join 1Password as a Developer on our Insights team. In this role, you will help gather data to create impactful reports and actionable insights for our clients. You'll work on diverse projects that enhance our security and improve customer value.

About the Role

We are looking for a full-stack or backend-leaning Developer to join our Insights team. This team focuses on data streaming, infrastructure, and core services for all 1Password clients. You will tackle complex problems, such as unifying diverse audit events and optimizing large-scale data platforms. This position is fully remote within Canada and the US.

What You'll Do

• Code, test, debug, deliver, and maintain production software systems for new and existing product features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders throughout the development cycle to ensure smooth releases.
• Communicate technical requirements to stakeholders and solve technical problems in a scalable way.
• Mentor junior and new team members by providing guidance and engaging in pair programming sessions.
• Participate in planning by identifying major tasks and estimating work.
• Write comprehensive tests during various stages of development to ensure code functions as expected.
• Review code to maintain high quality and support a safe environment for feedback.
• Generate and review documentation on code processes for scalability.
• Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and best practices in development.
• Be available for on-call rotational work to ensure uninterrupted support and resolve emergencies.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in software development (Go preferred).
• Experience with a modern backend language (e.g., Go, Node.js, Ruby, or Python).
• Strong understanding of software development best practices and coding standards.
• Ability to solve moderately complex problems and propose effective solutions.
• Experience collaborating with teams and communicating technical concepts to non-technical partners.
• Interest in testing methodologies and debugging techniques to ensure high-quality code.

Bonus Points

• Experience developing backend services in Go.
• Experience building frontends in Typescript and React.
• Exposure to security or admin-focused products.

What We Offer

USA-based roles: The annual base salary for this role is between $123,000 USD and $172,000 USD. You will also receive immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k, and more), generous paid time off, an equity grant, and participation in our incentive programs where applicable.

Canada-based roles: The annual base salary for this role is between $111,000 CAD and $155,000 CAD. You will receive immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP, and more), generous paid time off, an equity grant, and participation in our incentive programs where applicable.
