At 1Password, we're looking for a Junior Developer to join our Billing and Payments Infrastructure team. In this role, you will help manage and optimize financial transactions, ensuring our customers receive accurate invoices and support. This is a remote opportunity available to candidates in Canada and the US.

About the Role

The Billing and Payments team plays a crucial role at 1Password. We are responsible for processing payments, resolving billing discrepancies, and providing internal support to our customers. Your work will directly contribute to maintaining financial stability and fostering customer trust.

What You'll Do

• Code, test, debug, deliver, and maintain production software systems for new and existing product features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development cycle to ensure smooth releases.
• Communicate technical requirements to stakeholders and solve technical problems effectively.
• Mentor junior team members by providing technical guidance and engaging in pair programming sessions.
• Participate in planning by identifying major tasks and breaking them down into manageable work.
• Write comprehensive tests during various stages of development to ensure code quality.
• Review code to maintain high standards and support a culture of feedback.
• Document code processes to ensure scalability and knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in development.
• Be available for on-call rotational work to provide support and resolve emergencies.

What We're Looking For

• 6+ months of experience in software development (internships, bootcamps, or open source contributions are acceptable).
• Experience with software development best practices and coding standards.
• A knack for solving moderately complex problems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Interest in testing methodologies and debugging techniques to ensure high-quality code.

What We Offer

For USA-based roles: The annual base salary for this role is between $100,000 USD and $140,000 USD. You will also receive immediate participation in our benefits program, which includes health, dental, 401k, generous paid time off, and an equity grant.

For Canada-based roles: The annual base salary for this role is between $85,000 CAD and $119,000 CAD. You will also enjoy immediate participation in our generous benefits program, which includes health, dental, RRSP, generous paid time off, and an equity grant.
