Join our Cyberpunk 2 Team as a Lead UI Engineer. In this role, you will lead the UI Engineering Team to create and maintain user interface features for our game. You'll have the opportunity to support your team’s growth and collaborate with various departments.
About the Role
As a Lead UI Engineer, you will manage your team, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to succeed. You will work closely with designers, artists, and developers to deliver high-quality user interfaces that enhance player experience.
What You'll Do
- Manage your direct reports, supporting their professional development through 1:1s, performance management, hiring, and promotions.
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and developers to align your team with project expectations.
- Guide your team in building and enhancing UI features.
- Maintain and optimize existing systems.
- Create new features for the user interface framework.
- Implement tools for UI artists and designers.
- Track and fix bugs in the game user interface and framework.
- Manage and complete tasks effectively and on time, ensuring high-quality code.
What We're Looking For
- At least 7 years of experience as a UI programmer/engineer in the games industry.
- 3+ years of management experience.
- Understanding of successful user interface elements and player experiences in modern video games.
- Ability to create accessible user interfaces.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and knowledge of Unreal Engine.
- Proficiency in algorithms and code architecture.
- Debugging and optimization skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- Clear and respectful communication skills in a multicultural environment across time zones.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Diegetic/In-world UI.
- Experience with Common UI in Unreal.
- Experience with multiplayer UI.
- Experience with Unreal UI MVVM.
