Manager, HSE Compliance

At CHEP, we are looking for an HSE Compliance Manager to join our team. In this role, you will ensure our Americas Operations meet health, safety, and environmental regulations. You'll play a key part in how we operate responsibly and protect our people.

About the Role

The HSE Compliance Manager will oversee compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across our operations in North America, Mexico, and Brazil. You will work closely with site leaders and functional partners to identify gaps and drive improvements. This position is fully remote, but candidates must be located near a major airport.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor compliance with safety and environmental legislation at Brambles-operated sites.
  • Manage HSE systems such as iCARE and Near Miss, providing training and support.
  • Promote the use of HSE systems and develop mobile applications for reporting.
  • Facilitate the global safety audit program, track corrective actions, and ensure data integrity.
  • Support incident reporting and classification for injuries and incidents.
  • Protect personally identifiable information within HSE systems.
  • Assist with external audits of safety statistics.
  • Lead and develop a team of HSE compliance specialists.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and Canadian regulations.
  • Manage ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 audits and internal gap audits.
  • Prepare audit reports and compliance summaries for leadership.
  • Conduct incident investigations related to compliance findings.
  • Maintain compliance documentation and support regulatory inspections.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–7 years of experience in HSE compliance, auditing, or regulatory risk management.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or logistics environments.
  • Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian HSE regulations.
  • Experience leading or supporting ISO and internal audit processes.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence leaders.

Nice to Have

  • Professional certification (CSP, CRSP, NEBOSH, ISO Lead Auditor, or similar).
  • Experience supporting multi-country operations.
  • Familiarity with third-party or TPM audit environments.
