Join us at BugMD, where we are transforming pest control with safe and effective solutions. As a Product Development and Sourcing Manager, you will take charge of creating and producing our next generation of pest defense products.

About the Role

This position can be remote and may be based inside or outside of the United States. However, it requires regular travel to manufacturing facilities, testing labs, and suppliers for product development, trials, and production oversight.

What You'll Do

• Lead the development and sourcing of natural and conventional pest control products, including sprays, concentrates, traps, and devices.
• Collaborate with formulators, testing labs, and contract manufacturers to ensure product performance, safety, and compliance.
• Translate product briefs into EPA 25(b)-compliant formulations that meet efficacy, cost, and consumer expectations.
• Conduct on-site pilot runs, production trials, and quality evaluations with manufacturing partners.
• Manage vendor relationships, technical documentation, and certification processes.
• Partner with regulatory, packaging, and marketing teams to deliver launch-ready products.
• Stay updated on category trends, ingredient innovations, and changes in EPA/FIFRA regulations.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in pest control product development, sourcing, or formulation (brand, formulator, or contract manufacturer).
• Direct experience with EPA 25(b) exempt formulations and natural pest control ingredients.
• Strong technical knowledge of essential oils, surfactants, carriers, and natural actives used in pest repellents.
• Proven ability to manage contract manufacturers, labs, and testing facilities.
• Familiarity with EPA, FIFRA, and state-level regulatory frameworks for pest control products.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Excellent communication and project management skills across international teams.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (estimated 20–30% of the time).
