Join GitLab as a Senior AI Engineer and help shape our journey towards becoming an AI-first company. You will work closely with our Director of Enterprise AI to create AI-powered solutions that deliver real business results.

About the Role

In this role, you will be a hands-on technical leader. Your focus will be on understanding business challenges, mapping workflows, and determining if AI is the right solution. You will take ownership of projects from discovery to deployment, particularly in Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support. Your work will help improve how GitLab team members collaborate and enhance our organizational efficiency.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose business problems and map workflows to identify constraints.
• Confirm whether AI is the right intervention, and be honest about when it is not needed.
• Own AI initiatives from stakeholder discovery to implementation and iteration.
• Design and develop AI-powered solutions quickly, focusing on practical outcomes.
• Improve organizational flow by reducing bottlenecks and increasing throughput.
• Measure success using flow metrics, adoption rates, and ROI.
• Integrate AI capabilities into existing systems using APIs and modern AI platforms.
• Showcase GitLab's AI offerings and provide feedback to R&D based on real-world usage.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand constraints and align on outcomes.
• Define and track success through business metrics and feedback loops.
• Contribute to technical direction by evaluating tools and creating reusable foundations.

• Broad Functional Understanding: You can engage with stakeholders across various domains and understand their needs.
• End-to-End Ownership: You have a track record of managing complex projects from start to finish.
• Product Mindset: You can scope MVPs, prioritize effectively, and focus on user experience and business outcomes.

Nice to Have

• Experience with the GitLab platform and CI/CD workflows.
• A background in consulting, solutions engineering, or customer-facing technical roles.

What We Offer

• Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
