Join Canonical as a Senior Communications Manager
We are looking for a Senior Communications Manager with experience in analyst relations (AR) to join our communications team. In this role, you will drive our communications strategy through analyst relations, enhancing Canonical’s visibility among industry influencers and shaping market perception.
About the Role
Canonical serves a diverse range of customers, from end users to startups, large enterprises, and governments. We have a broad portfolio of products based on trusted open source technology. As the voice of Canonical towards analysts and industry influencers, you will develop a data-driven engagement strategy to build key narratives and strengthen our market position.
This senior position reports to the Director of Communications and involves close collaboration with Product Management, Alliances, Sales, and Marketing teams.
Location: This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and execute analyst-focused communications plans for product announcements, partnerships, and initiatives.
- Utilize new technologies like AI to analyze market trends and assess analyst perception of Canonical.
- Ensure analyst firms have accurate information about Canonical’s portfolio.
- Craft and deliver narratives about Canonical and its products aligned with our vision.
- Manage relationships with analysts through online briefings and industry events.
- Measure the impact of the AR program and report progress to leadership.
- Position the company in key analyst reports to enhance brand strength.
- Support the Director of Communications on Corporate Communications initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience in market research, AR, or communications.
- Experience managing technology communications or AR programs.
- Proven success in delivering innovative communications campaigns in the technology space.
- Experience with cloud, SaaS, or open source technology is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and an understanding of content that resonates with analysts.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for building relationships across teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Affinity for planning; experience with project management tools like Jira is an advantage.
- Background in product management or product marketing is a plus but not required.
- Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
