Account Manager at Ecolab
Join Ecolab’s Food & Beverage team as an Account Manager. In this role, you will help enhance food safety and product quality while driving results for our global customers. You will provide cleaning and sanitation solutions, focusing on both sales and technical service.
About the Role
As an Account Manager, you will work closely with food, beverage, and dairy manufacturing customers. Your expertise will help them improve their sanitation processes and operational efficiency.
What You'll Do
- Understand Ecolab products and customer operations, including government regulations.
- Develop strategic plans to meet sales targets and conduct service calls with customers.
- Prepare and deliver presentations on Ecolab's products and services.
- Provide expertise in sanitation, safety, and quality, assisting with plans, procedures, and employee training.
- Manage product and equipment performance, including installations and inventory management.
- Implement corporate account commitments and communicate results and challenges to the Corporate Account Manager.
- Build strong relationships with plant staff at all levels.
- Follow safety guidelines and incident reporting requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in dairy, food or agricultural science, engineering, chemistry, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of technical sales experience in the brewing sector.
- Willingness to travel by car throughout the territory, including occasional overnight trips and being on-call during off-hours and weekends.
Nice to Have
- Experience selling value-added products to customers.
- Aptitude for dealing with large national and multi-national customers.
- General mechanical ability.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
