Join Our Team as an Accounting Manager & Tax Agent

At Sleek, we are looking for an Accounting Manager & Tax Agent to lead our Australian tax services. In this role, you'll manage your own portfolio of clients and set high standards for our internal processes.

About the Role

As the backbone of Sleek’s tax services, you will help us scale operations and ensure excellence. You will be the go-to expert for our startup and SME clients, representing them confidently with the ATO and managing the entire BAS and tax return process.

What You'll Do

• Help scale Sleek’s Australian tax services and set the standard for excellence.
• Manage your own portfolio of startup and SME clients, providing advisory and compliance support.
• Represent clients with the ATO, acting as their trusted tax advisor.
• Oversee the BAS and tax return preparation and lodgment process.
• Guide our remote bookkeeping team to ensure accurate financial records.
• Lead and mentor a team of bookkeepers and tax accountants.

What We're Looking For

We seek a detail-oriented tax professional ready to make a strong impact. To be successful, you will need:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Registration as an individual Tax Agent with the TPB, with at least 2 years of experience.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a practising tax accountant managing a portfolio of SME clients.
• At least 2 years’ experience managing a team of bookkeepers and tax accountants.
• Strong client service and communication skills.
• A high level of professionalism and integrity.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Xero Practice Manager, Dext, A2X, and other accounting tools.
• A proven ability to meet deadlines and deliver results.

Important: This role is open to candidates based anywhere in Australia. You must hold valid Australian work rights. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
