Join our Ads Data Engineering team at Netflix, where you will help build a data ecosystem that enhances our understanding of ads and their impact on our business. In this role, you'll work with a talented team to create accessible data products that inform our advertising strategies.

About the Role

The Ads Data Engineering team focuses on developing data products related to ad inventories, forecasting, targeting, and more. We are looking for skilled software engineers who are curious and have a strong analytical mindset. You will play a crucial role in shaping our data landscape.

What You'll Do

  • Architect and expand core data products to scale our Ads business.
  • Take ownership of critical parts of Netflix's Ads data products.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and model data tables.
  • Develop large-scale data processing solutions for timely delivery of high-quality data.
  • Work with Analytics Engineers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to create intuitive data products.
  • Establish best practices for managing data sets with sensitive information.
  • Build strong partnerships with data scientists, analytics engineers, and machine learning practitioners.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience with data at scale, preferably in the advertising domain.
  • Hands-on experience building batch or streaming production data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and architecture across multiple systems.
  • Ability to communicate complex data problems clearly.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and fast-changing environments.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Scala, or Java, along with SQL for data exploration.
  • Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Flink, and Hive.
  • Experience with data privacy and GDPR is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with sourcing and modeling data from application APIs.
  • Knowledge of team-based software development tools and best practices.

What We Offer

Our compensation structure consists of an annual salary; we do not offer bonuses. You can choose how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. The salary range for this role is $170,000 - $720,000.
