Join Meta as an Energy Manager for our Transmission team. In this role, you will help develop cost-effective energy solutions for our data centers. You will play a vital part in shaping our energy strategy and supporting the infrastructure needed for our operations.

About the Role

As an Energy Manager, you will focus on grid-scale energy infrastructure analysis and development. Your work will directly impact our data centers and their energy needs.

What You'll Do

• Support the creation and execution of energy infrastructure strategies for our data centers.
• Analyze transmission development plans and cost structures, and communicate risks and opportunities to stakeholders.
• Analyze large data sets from grid studies and forecast future system conditions.
• Inform commercial strategies to enable large-scale transmission development.
• Interface with technical teams to advance Meta's interests in transmission system development.
• Lead negotiations for transmission projects, presenting recommendations to leadership.
• Manage communication and deliverables between utility partners and internal stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal partners across various teams.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery.
• Lead various ad-hoc energy initiatives to drive successful outcomes.
• Navigate ambiguity in the data center development process while pushing projects forward.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 25%).

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of relevant work experience in a utility, energy project development, or related field.
• Knowledge of transmission, distribution, and utility interconnection processes.
• Proficiency in power flow studies and familiarity with industry-standard software (PSS®E, PowerWorld, PSLF).
• Experience with project development and management for large-scale projects.
• Strong analytical skills to identify trends for strategic transmission investments.
• Demonstrated project management skills, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills and experience building partnerships with stakeholders.
• Intermediate skills with Google Suite applications and Excel.
