About the Role
We are looking for an Engineering Director to lead our transformation in product development at Docplanner. This role focuses on the Patient Engagement area and combines hands-on coding with technical leadership. You will play a key role in shaping how we use AI to enhance our software development practices.
What You'll Do
Lead Through Code (≈75% hands-on)
- Solve patient engagement challenges through hands-on coding using AI development tools.
- Prototype and build solutions that showcase AI-enabled practices in patient-facing products.
- Work directly in your teams’ codebases, implementing features and architectural changes.
- Establish and teach AI-powered development workflows through direct demonstration.
Drive Transformation & Technical Leadership (≈25%)
- Pioneer AI-enabled development cycles within the Patient Engagement area and scale successful practices across engineering.
- Influence the Engineering community to adapt to AI-enabled workflows.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Design to address real patient problems.
- Measure and communicate the impact of new approaches using concrete metrics.

- A focus on building software that is faster, better, and impactful.
