Job Description

Join Our Team as a Full Stack Data Analyst

At Pleo, we are transforming spend management into a seamless experience for finance teams and employees. As a Full Stack Data Analyst, you will play a vital role in turning payment data into actionable insights that support our 40,000+ customers. You will work on everything from building data models to creating dashboards and presenting your findings to stakeholders.

About the Role

We are looking for a Full Stack Data Analyst to join our Critical Data Products (CDP) team. In this position, you will collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to enhance payment performance and strengthen decision-making through quality metrics and insights. You will also contribute to our broader goal of making the entire company data-driven, utilizing analytics and AI to improve efficiency.

Please note applications will be open until Monday 30th March 2026 at 09.00 GMT. We will not review any applications before then to ensure everyone has a fair chance, so please take the time to submit your application.

Who You’ll Be Working With

You will report to the Manager of the CDP team within the Product Hub in the Data department. Your team includes members from Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics Engineering. Together, you will support various areas such as KYC/Compliance, FinCrime, Credit, and Regulatory Reporting, delivering critical data pipelines and insights.

Our team values trust, reliability, and proactivity. We build strong relationships with stakeholders and provide reliable data products that drive impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Full Stack Data Analyst, you will:

  • Analyze transactional data and present insights to stakeholders.
  • Support payment migrations and incident follow-ups with clear, data-backed narratives.
  • Empower internal teams with self-serve reporting through dashboards in Looker.
  • Define and operationalize core payments metrics by setting up analytics foundations in dbt.
  • Assist in automating regulatory and compliance reports.

What You Bring

  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with data modeling in dbt.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, specifically Looker and LookML.
  • Hands-on experience in payments analytics and a solid understanding of core payment concepts.
  • A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for your work, along with problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Why This Role Is a Good Fit for You

This role is for you if:

  • You are comfortable working with high engineering and data platform standards.
  • You enjoy collaborating with non-technical business experts and learning from senior colleagues.
  • You want to deepen your knowledge in the payments and finance domains.

This role may not be for you if:

  • You have not previously worked with payments infrastructure.
  • You find it challenging to engage proactively with colleagues outside of the Data world.
  • You have never worked on a shared codebase.

How You’ll Develop in This Role

In your first few months at Pleo, you will:

  • Explore the payments infrastructure that supports our operations.
  • Grow in a supportive culture, gaining insights from Data Engineers, Analysts, and payment experts.
  • Gain hands-on experience transforming raw data into valuable insights.

We are committed to helping you develop your career, whether that means taking on bigger projects or acquiring new skills in data and analytics.

The Location

This role can be based in Denmark, Portugal, Spain, or the UK. We offer remote, hybrid, or in-office options, but you must be physically located in one of these countries. Please note that we cannot provide visa sponsorship for this role, so you will need a valid right to work.

Show Me the Benefits!

  • Your own Pleo card (no more out-of-pocket spending!)
  • Lunch is on us for your workdays - enjoy catered meals or a lunch allowance.
  • Comprehensive private healthcare options based on your location.
  • 25 days of holiday plus public holidays.
  • Hybrid and fully remote working options.
  • Option to purchase 5 additional days of holiday through a salary sacrifice.
  • Access to free mental health and well-being support through MyndUp.
  • Paid parental leave to support families.

The Interview Process

  1. Intro call: A 30-minute chat with our Talent Partner to discuss the role and your background.
  2. A SQL coding exercise you complete separately.
  3. A Hiring Manager interview: A 60-minute meeting with the team manager to explore your technical experience.
  4. A Team interview: A 60-minute interview with the team focusing on your analytical approach.

We want to help you succeed in your application. Here are some insights:

  • We value specific details of your impact in previous roles. Use the “Achieved X, as measured by Y, by doing Z” formula to highlight your contributions.
  • Every application is reviewed by a human, so please pay attention to your application details.
  • A Full Stack Data Analyst should engage with business stakeholders and understand payments domain knowledge as well as technical skills.

About Your Application

  • Please submit your application in English; it’s our company language.
  • We treat all candidates equally. Please apply through our application system only.
