Join Netflix as a Full Stack Software Engineer in the Member Experience Core Systems (MECS) organization. You'll help shape how over 300 million members discover content on our platform. This role combines high-scale system operations, advanced machine learning personalization, and collaboration with product and UI teams.

About the Role

The MECS team is responsible for the core systems that drive personalization, search, and discovery on Netflix. You'll work on building foundational platforms, developing ML-driven recommendation engines, and creating tools that enhance the developer experience. Your contributions will empower our studio partners to innovate efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement debugging tools for their services.
• Enhance user interfaces to create intuitive experiences for engineers, using feedback to improve usability.
• Incorporate GenAI tools to boost developer productivity by automating repetitive tasks.

What We're Looking For

• Strong expertise with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React/Typescript).
• Experience with at least one backend language/framework (e.g., Java/Python/Go).
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs (GraphQL is a plus).
• Proactive communication with cross-functional teams (product and UX) to drive projects.
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Applied Math, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience working with teams across multiple time zones.

Nice to Have

• Experience with the latest GenAI stack (LLMs, RAG, Agents/Tools).
• Experience building distributed backend systems.
• Experience building enterprise-level tools.

What We Offer

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not offer bonuses. You can choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. The salary range for this role is $388,000.00 - $558,000.00, and this may vary based on location.
