Legal Analyst, Privacy at Claritev
Join us at Claritev as a Legal Analyst focused on privacy. In this role, you will investigate privacy issues and ensure compliance with regulations. You will work closely with various teams to maintain our commitment to privacy and data security.
About the Role
This position is responsible for investigating privacy breaches and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations. You will coordinate with team members to implement corrective actions and prepare documentation for leadership reporting. Additionally, you will take on roles as both a Business Analyst and Project Manager for regulatory matters.
What You'll Do
- Investigate all privacy matters across the organization.
- Provide guidance on privacy issues in compliance with federal and state laws, including HIPAA.
- Monitor and respond to reported privacy violations and inadvertent disclosures.
- Advise on corrective actions regarding privacy violations and maintain documentation.
- Collaborate with Talent on corrective actions related to privacy issues.
- Compile documentation and prepare quarterly reports for leadership.
- Manage regulatory compliance filing activities, including project planning and execution.
- Identify and mitigate risks, creating contingency plans as needed.
- Develop work plans for regulatory filings and prepare executive summaries for management.
- Document regulatory filing requirements to ensure project team alignment.
- Manage multiple priorities and relationships with stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with laws related to healthcare, data privacy, and security.
- Demonstrate commitment to the company’s core values.
- This role involves exposure to sensitive data and is considered a High Risk Role.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree; paralegal preferred.
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry and privacy regulations preferred.
- At least two years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Project Manager; experience in healthcare preferred.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and requirements definition.
- Preferred certifications: IIBA or CBAP.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and privacy compliance platforms.
- Ability to take initiative and suggest solutions to problems.
- Strong relationship-building skills with all levels of management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Flexibility and creativity in problem-solving.
- Ability to work in a standard office environment.
What We Offer
The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000. We consider education, experience, and skills when making specific offers. This position is also eligible for health insurance, a 401(k), and a bonus opportunity.
