Litigation Expert Writer
Launch That is looking for a skilled writer with expertise in Mass Tort and/or Asbestos litigation. As a 1099 contractor, you will create and review content on various litigation topics for our digital brands. If this sounds like a fit for you, we’d love to see your resume!
About the Role
The Mass Tort and/or Asbestos litigation writer will produce and review articles and content related to drug, consumer product, environmental, and other litigation topics. You will follow detailed content strategies and ensure all material is accurate and engaging.
What You'll Do
- Follow content strategy briefs and conduct thorough research using reputable sources.
- Write articles ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 words.
- Occasionally contribute as a subject-matter expert for third-party websites.
- Submit completed pages within 2-3 days of receiving assignments.
- Fact-check and proofread all content to ensure it meets our standards and is free of errors.
- Adhere to established content guidelines and maintain a casual yet medically accurate tone.
- Utilize your legal expertise to create trustworthy content.
- Allow your name and likeness to be used as an author across our websites.
- Communicate regularly with the Managing Editor and Content Editors about production updates.
What We're Looking For
- A degree in law or a related field.
- Professional experience in mass torts or related litigation.
- 5-10 years of experience writing about or working in the legal, medical, or health fields.
- Expertise in writing or reviewing web content.
- Understanding of search engine optimization best practices for content creation.
- Experienced in researching using reputable medical and scientific journals.
Nice to Have
- Experience as a Litigation Expert Reviewer.
- Familiarity with Litigation HARO Requests.
