Manager, Reality Labs Trade
Join Meta as a Manager in our Reality Labs Trade team. In this role, you will lead a team of trade professionals and drive initiatives that support our global business growth and operational efficiency.
About the Role
You will focus on developing tariff management strategies, guiding new market entries, and ensuring global customs compliance. Your leadership will help your team excel as you work towards our ambitious goals.
What You'll Do
- People Leadership: Hire, manage performance, and nurture talent within your team.
- Program Management & Communication: Keep initiatives on track and ensure clear communication for decisions and actions.
- Tariff Management Strategies: Analyze global tariff structures to reduce duty exposure. Collaborate with legal, finance, and supply chain teams to ensure compliance and maximize savings.
- HS Classification: Oversee the review of products under the Harmonized System for accurate tariff application. Work with various teams to support classification decisions and stay updated on global HS code changes.
- New Market Entry: Lead teams in assessing and executing entry into new international markets. Provide guidance on regulatory requirements and market-specific trade barriers.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a subject matter expert on strategic trade topics. Build relationships with external advisors, government agencies, and industry groups.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor global trade trends and recommend process improvements to enhance compliance and efficiency.
What We're Looking For
- Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) or Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) credential.
- 10+ years of experience in global trade compliance, international logistics, or related roles.
- 7+ years of people leadership experience in Logistics, Trade, or Compliance.
- Experience in tariff mitigation, HS classification, and new market entry.
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence at all levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with global trade regulations, FTAs, and customs procedures.
- Experience with trade management systems and data analysis tools.
