Cloud Security Researcher (CSPM/CNAPP Product)

We’re looking for a Cloud Security Researcher to join our team at CommIT. In this role, you will help enhance our CSPM/CNAPP product. You will focus on how we discover, model, prioritize, and communicate cloud risks, transforming various cloud signals into clear security insights for our customers.

About the Role

This position is centered around security. We value strong fundamentals and sound judgment over specific tools. Your work will directly impact our product and our customers' security posture.

What You'll Do

• Improve the discovery and modeling of cloud risks.
• Prioritize security needs and communicate them effectively.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable product features.
• Engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to explain security decisions.
• Review code and assess reliability and edge cases.

What We're Looking For

• A strong foundation in cybersecurity.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS preferred; Azure or GCP are also acceptable).
• Comfort navigating services, permissions models, and APIs/SDK concepts.
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on impact and effort.
• Good communication skills to explain security concepts clearly.
• Solid engineering literacy; deep coding expertise is not required.

Nice to Have

• Experience with CSPM/CNAPP tools or security research.
• Familiarity with cloud telemetry and log sources.
• Comfort with Infrastructure as Code concepts (e.g., Terraform) and cloud-native environments.
