As a Principal Business Consultant, you will play a key role in growing our R&D consulting practice in Europe. You will help build our brand, develop customer networks, and tackle complex business challenges.

About the Role

R&D Consulting at Veeva combines strategy, operations, data, and technology. This role is crucial for establishing a leading R&D consulting practice with high visibility within the company and the life sciences industry. You will work at the forefront of digital innovation, helping to shape the future of our practice.

What You'll Do

• Lead business development opportunities by identifying and generating new project opportunities.
• Clarify customer challenges and needs to develop compelling proposals that win new work.
• Utilize your network to identify opportunities and build new relationships.
• Serve as the R&D consulting lead on one of our top enterprise accounts.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with customers as the primary contact for strategic and tactical questions.
• Support the creation of new campaigns, offerings, and thought leadership to differentiate R&D consulting in the market.
• Lead multiple project engagement teams, empowering them to manage all aspects of delivery from scope to quality assurance.

What We're Looking For

• At least 10 years of significant management and R&D consulting experience.
• Experience in the life sciences, particularly in clinical operations.
• An extensive network of relevant stakeholders in leadership positions at Top 20 life sciences companies.
• Credibility and experience engaging with key life sciences customers at senior levels.
• A proven track record of developing new, high-value customer engagements.
• Experience in designing and implementing digital transformation and R&D innovation programs.
• A deep understanding of the entire R&D value chain.

Nice to Have

• Fluency in multiple European languages (e.g., German, French, Spanish) in addition to English.
• Experience with digital technologies, including platforms, channels, analytics tools, and apps.
• A good understanding of Veeva’s broader platforms and solutions, and how they can be enhanced by R&D consulting services.
• Experience working with SaaS solutions.
• Veeva certification on any relevant R&D products.
