Privacy Analyst, Out of Network
Join Claritev as a Privacy Analyst in our Out of Network Department. In this role, you will investigate privacy incidents, ensure compliance with privacy regulations, and provide training to team members. Your work will help us maintain the highest standards of privacy and security in healthcare.
About the Role
This position focuses on analyzing potential breaches and privacy incidents. You will manage documentation and educate team members on compliance with privacy regulations, including HIPAA.
What You'll Do
- Investigate reported privacy incidents to determine if they are inadvertent disclosures or reportable breaches.
- Ensure compliance with reporting timelines for inappropriate disclosures or privacy breaches of PHI.
- Review and approve correspondence to providers for accuracy.
- Research systems and databases for historical performance and analytics.
- Maintain reports to improve quality and workflow management.
- Report incidents to the Legal Analyst for potential notifications to clients or regulatory bodies.
- Compile data and track privacy incidents for quarterly reporting.
- Review and update existing agreements in the system.
- Assist with special projects while managing daily responsibilities.
- Recommend changes to improve workflow efficiency and reduce risks of future breaches.
- Collaborate and communicate across departments.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Demonstrate company values and competencies.
- This role involves exposure to sensitive PHI data and is considered high risk.
- Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in privacy or compliance in a healthcare setting.
- Understanding of the negotiation process.
- Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong technical skills and the ability to identify issues for resolution.
- Ability to build trust and credibility with all levels of the organization.
- Willingness to adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information.
- Must be able to work in a standard office environment, including prolonged periods of sitting and using office equipment.
What We Offer
The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000. Specific offers depend on your education, experience, skills, work location, and internal equity. This position is also eligible for health insurance, 401k, and bonus opportunities.
