Program Manager at Synovus
As a Program Manager at Synovus, you will oversee compliance activities related to third-party systems and technologies. You will play a crucial role in building and implementing a strong Compliance program to combat money laundering and terrorist financing across the organization.
About the Role
You will manage BSA and OFAC technology solutions, ensuring they function effectively and meet department goals. Your work will involve collaborating with various teams to maintain compliance with regulatory expectations.
What You'll Do
- BSA Technology Platform Administration:
- Lead the management of applications used by the BSA Department. Provide technical guidance to meet business requirements.
- Resolve system problems and maintain data integrity. Document production changes and conduct systems analysis.
- Perform root cause analyses of data errors. Document findings and focus on continuous improvement.
- Work with BSA production teams to support and optimize processes. Liaise with Governance and Advisory teams for issue reporting.
- Document system inputs and outputs. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Regularly validate system configurations and manage internal and third-party validations.
- Operations Support:
- Support system-related projects to enhance integrated processes and minimize data integrity issues.
- Provide regular technology updates to senior management and report to the BSA Compliance Committee.
- Ensure vendor systems align with risk management standards. Collaborate with various teams to meet regulatory requirements.
- Create and maintain accurate desktop procedures for all functions performed.
- Act as a technology liaison with internal units.
- Be aware of risks in your functional area and report any violations promptly.
- Perform other related duties as required.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum Experience:
- Five years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, and automated monitoring systems.
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfort in communicating with individuals at all levels.
- Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Proficient in BSA/AML/OFAC system troubleshooting and testing.
- Expertise in data mapping, validation, and analysis.
- Understanding of risk tolerances.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to interact and influence at all organizational levels.
