Security Architect at Akamai Technologies
Are you interested in working with advanced web security systems? Do you enjoy providing consultancy to help defend against security attacks? If so, we would love for you to join our Security Operations Command Center.
About the Role
As part of our Security Operations team, you will play a key role in responding to platform and carrier issues in real time. You will help ensure the stability of a world-class DDoS attack mitigation platform, providing analysis and network troubleshooting for our customers. You will support some of the world's leading brands and manage high internet traffic.
What You'll Do
- Engage in mitigation techniques to prevent vector attacks.
- Analyze customer traffic, applications, and systems to tailor our security solutions to meet customer needs.
- Manage and document technical issues, responses, and requests to ensure accurate records.
- Provide support to customers to resolve network and connectivity issues.
- Communicate with customers about challenges and provide updates on your mitigation and analysis efforts.
What We're Looking For
- Experience with Internet technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, TLS, and web servers.
- Customer-facing experience with an understanding of the consulting process.
- Proactive approach with a sense of urgency and a desire to learn.
- Good communication and collaboration skills; be an accountable team member.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex technical content in English.
- Willingness to work night shifts.
