Senior Accountant at IOHK
Join IOHK as a Senior Accountant and play a key role in our single-family office. You will manage the daily financial operations and contribute to building a strong foundation for our financial practices. This position offers a clear pathway to grow into a Controller role within 24 months.
About the Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will report to the SVP of Accounting & Finance. You will work closely with a small leadership team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data. Your contributions will have a significant impact as we shape our processes and systems.
What You'll Do
- Manage daily bookkeeping and data entry for all entities.
- Execute and oversee the monthly close process, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Perform bank reconciliations using NetSuite and Ramp.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation.
- Review financial statements and general ledger accounts for accuracy.
- Handle the accounts payable process, including invoice processing and vendor reconciliations.
- Manage intercompany transactions and ensure accurate consolidated reporting.
- Collaborate on monthly reporting, providing reconciled data for dashboards and KPIs.
- Work to reduce the monthly close timeline through process improvements and automation.
- Develop real-time reporting of key financial KPIs.
- Utilize AI tools to automate various financial processes.
- Design AI-native workflows to accelerate the close cycle.
- Identify and eliminate inefficient processes.
- Assist with financial audits and support tax filings.
- Help develop internal accounting policies tailored to our family office.
- Handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Create ad hoc reports and assist with special projects as needed.
What We're Looking For
- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting.
- B.Sc./B.A. in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred or in progress.
- Current or recent experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role.
- Expert-level proficiency in NetSuite and experience with Ramp or similar platforms.
- Advanced skills in Excel and/or Google Sheets with a focus on data analysis.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with a focus on automation and process improvement.
- A commitment to handling sensitive information with discretion.
- A growth mindset with the ambition to take on Controller responsibilities within 24 months.

- Hands-on experience deploying AI workflows in finance.
