Senior Instructional Design Manager, Healthcare Operations

At Interwell Health, we are dedicated to transforming kidney care management. As a Senior Instructional Design Manager, you will create impactful learning programs that empower our patient-facing teams to provide exceptional care. You will play a key role in establishing best practices for instructional design, ensuring our training aligns with organizational standards and meets the needs of our teams.

About the Role

Join our Operational Excellence team within Healthcare Operations. You will lead the development of learning programs that drive operational change. Your work will enhance performance, support onboarding, and keep our remote teams connected during transitions.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop engaging learning programs and training courses for remote patient-facing teams.
  • Set clear learning objectives that align with business outcomes.
  • Create effective training materials for new processes and workflows.
  • Advise on training strategies for initiatives and change management.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and project teams to identify learning needs.
  • Translate complex workflows into clear learning materials across various formats.
  • Manage the development and review of training materials with timely communication.
  • Equip facilitators with the necessary tools for effective training delivery.
  • Summarize and communicate learning initiatives to ensure all leaders are informed.
  • Provide feedback to leaders responsible for onboarding curricula and trainers.

What We're Looking For

  • 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • 4+ years of experience designing and delivering learning programs for adults.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred in Education, Design, Learning Technology, or equivalent.
  • Experience developing educational content for Epic and CTI platforms preferred.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models.
  • Expertise in training development tools like Articulate 360 and Powtoons.
  • Ability to learn complex workflows and create engaging content for care teams.
  • Experience collaborating with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of change management best practices related to learning initiatives.
  • Preferred Certifications: Association for Talent Development Master Instructional Designer Certificate, Associate Professional in Talent Development, or Certified Professional in Talent Development.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% annually (1-2 times per year for team onsites).
