Senior Software Engineer - Acquisition & Monetization

Join Tines as a Senior Software Engineer on our new Acquisition & Monetization product team. In this role, you will help build and operate features that enhance user journeys, manage subscriptions, and drive user growth.

About the Role

Founded in 2018, Tines has co-headquarters in Dublin and Boston. We support various customers, from startups to large companies, by providing an intelligent workflow platform that combines AI, automation, and human ingenuity. Our values of Simplicity, Speed, and Soundness guide our work and culture.

What You'll Do

  • Make impactful changes to our codebase quickly, with your work going live shortly after merging.
  • Collaborate with design and product teams to develop and improve our product.
  • Write and review high-quality, well-tested code to ensure stability for our customers.
  • Identify areas for improvement in our codebase and processes, and help enhance our team.
  • Take ownership of the problems you solve and the software you create, responding to customer feedback.
  • Mentor other engineers and provide support to help them grow.
  • Help prioritize our roadmap to use our time effectively.

Projects You Might Work On

  • Supporting a trial period for our product-led growth offering.
  • Simplifying the sign-up flow between our marketing site and app.
  • Integrating Tines into a third-party marketplace.
  • Creating engaging onboarding experiences with design and product teams.
  • Working with our analytics team to track user journeys.
  • Improving developer workflow using our own product.
  • Writing blog posts to share insights with the community.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience as a professional software engineer, with a successful track record in senior roles.
  • Experience in software delivery using a high-level programming language. You should be comfortable with a technical exercise during the interview process.
  • Skills matter more than education or previous employers. We value your experience and knowledge.
  • Cybersecurity knowledge is not required. While we take security seriously, you don’t need prior experience in this area.
  • This role is broad. You will work across our stack, focusing on user acquisition and monetization. Be ready to learn and pitch in where needed.
  • We prioritize important problems. We use simple, common tools like Ruby, Rails, React, TypeScript, Postgres, Redis, and Docker. Familiarity with our main languages is a plus, but curiosity and eagerness to learn are essential.
  • We promote a healthy work-life balance. We work reasonable hours, take holidays, and plan workloads realistically.
  • Your contributions will be visible. In a small team, your impact will be clear to everyone.
  • We value inclusivity. We treat all colleagues with kindness and respect and expect you to do the same.

What We Offer

You can work fully remotely from anywhere in Ireland or use our office space in Dublin to connect with your team. We are committed to your growth and will cover the cost of educational materials to help you succeed.

At Tines, we believe in trying new things. If you’re considering applying, trust your instincts and take the leap! We welcome diverse experiences and perspectives.
