Senior Solutions Engineer - German Speaking

Join Tines as a Senior Solutions Engineer and play a key role in our pre-sales team. You will work closely with Account Executives and sales leadership to showcase our no-code automation solutions and help potential customers understand the value we bring.

About the Role

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will leverage your technical knowledge to demonstrate how Tines can integrate with existing technology stacks. You will help customers solve their business challenges quickly and effectively.

What You'll Do

  • Develop a deep understanding of Tines no-code automation and apply it to security and IT operations challenges faced by our customers.
  • Create and deliver engaging presentations to prospective customers and partners, clearly communicating the value of Tines solutions.
  • Build and demonstrate Tines Stories with customers to illustrate value and support sales efforts.
  • Manage the technical decision process with customers, setting and managing expectations during proof of concepts and evaluations.
  • Collaborate with Sales to identify key use cases that address customer challenges.
  • Support Tines’ priority channel and technical alliance partners, assisting their pre-sales engineers on customer engagements.
  • Provide market feedback to the product organization.
  • Contribute to our knowledge base by sharing customer experiences and creating new Tines automation stories.
  • Assist the Solutions Engineering team in developing metrics and refining operations into best practices.

Senior-Level Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Guide the strategic direction for sales engineering in the DACH/EMEA region, aligning with business goals.
    • Act as a senior voice of the SE team in shaping the direction for sales engineering in the region.
  • Mentorship:
    • Mentor and guide other sales engineers, fostering professional growth within the team.
  • Thought Leadership:
    • Represent Tines at industry events and webinars, showcasing our solutions and establishing Tines as a thought leader in automation.
  • Complex Problem Solving:
    • Lead the design and implementation of complex automation solutions for high-profile customers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with product management, marketing, and engineering teams to influence product strategy based on market insights.
  • Customer Advocacy:
    • Act as a senior advocate for key customers, ensuring their needs are met and feedback is incorporated into product development.
  • Innovation:
    • Identify and drive initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of the sales engineering function, including process improvements.

What We're Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in a pre-sales or sales engineering role at a SaaS company.
  • Business-level proficiency in German.
  • Strong technical background with experience working with APIs and a curiosity to learn new cloud technologies.
  • Experience in the security and/or IT industry.
  • Ability to uncover customer needs effectively.
  • Experience delivering compelling demos and winning technical evaluations.
  • Ability to communicate with both business and technical audiences.
  • A love for learning and openness to feedback, focused on client success.
  • Project management skills with a track record of delivering customer solutions.
  • Analytical skills to derive actionable insights from complex data.
  • A startup mentality with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% - 40%.
