About the Role

As a Software Engineer III, you will focus on the design, development, and maintenance of microservices that manage sales order processing. You will need strong skills in Java and Spring Boot, along with experience in GraphQL APIs and event-driven architectures. Adaptability to new technologies and systems is key in this fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

• Participate in design and technical implementation decisions, guiding team stakeholders to ensure high standards in order processing capabilities.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to gather requirements and support software from ideation to release, operation, and maintenance.
• Design, build, and maintain highly available systems to support business applications and order processing.
• Support QA activities alongside our QA engineering teams.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of software development experience, focusing on secure, scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong experience with event-driven architecture and message processing using Apache Kafka.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle processes, including building, configuration, releases, and deployment.
• Extensive knowledge of Test-Driven Development and/or Domain-Driven Development.
• Experience with service-oriented and microservice architecture.
• Experience in building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and expanding software within the AWS ecosystem (EC2, ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, S3, etc.).
• Experience with GraphQL API design and implementation in Java.
• Strong relational database skills, including database design and optimization.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work well in a team.
• Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Nice to Have

• Java Programming with Spring Boot expertise.
• SQL and NoSQL database experience, including MySQL and ElasticSearch.
• Familiarity with AWS services, such as EC2, Lambdas, Step Functions, SQS, S3, and SNS.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform and Cloud Formation.
• Knowledge of Docker or container-oriented technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD (Gitlab).
• Quality Assurance mindset and experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, Jest.
• Familiarity with the Spring ecosystem (Spring Data, Spring Security, etc.).
• Experience with AI tools like Claude/Cursor/Codex.

The pay range for this position is $105,700—$132,100 USD, based on various factors such as skills, experience, and location.
