About the Role

We are looking for a Mid-Level Backend Engineer to join our Electrical Vehicle & Chargers (EVC) Platform team. In this role, you will focus on improving the reliability and scalability of our connectivity layer, which integrates EV chargers, vehicles, and OEM platforms. This is not an infrastructure or DevOps role; you will work on product-level platform improvements and new integrations.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain API integrations with OEMs and energy partners to ensure reliability and performance.
• Enhance the connectivity platform by reducing incidents and improving observability.
• Develop automations and internal tools for integration monitoring and testing.
• Contribute to defining SLAs and monitoring practices that improve reliability.
• Participate in discussions to align platform priorities with product needs.
• Foster a collaborative team culture by sharing knowledge and refining best practices.

What We're Looking For

• Experience writing maintainable, testable backend code, ideally in an API or integration-heavy environment.
• Interest in platform engineering with a focus on building connectivity layers.
• Enjoyment in both creating new integrations and improving existing systems.
• Systematic approach to debugging and improving tools and processes.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript (or a willingness to learn TypeScript).
• Clear communication skills and a proactive approach to collaboration.
• A curious, respectful, and growth-oriented mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in a distributed systems environment.
