Join Mozilla as a Senior Staff Quantitative User Researcher

At Mozilla, we are looking for a Senior Staff Quantitative User Researcher to lead our research initiatives. You will play a key role in understanding user experiences and translating insights into actionable strategies that shape our products.

About the Role

The Firefox User Research team focuses on exploring complex problems through human-centered research. We use both quantitative and qualitative methods to gather insights that inform our product and design strategies. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, engineers, marketers, data scientists, and fellow researchers.

What You'll Do

Lead strategic quantitative research initiatives, from defining business needs to designing surveys and synthesizing data.
Utilize various research methods to integrate quantitative insights into the product development lifecycle.
Work cross-functionally to develop and manage a research roadmap, identifying key research opportunities aligned with business goals.
Analyze complex data sources to create evidence-based perspectives that guide product decisions.
Advocate for user-centered decision-making by embedding research into product strategy and influencing leaders.
Mentor peers and enhance the quantitative research practice to increase the visibility and impact of user insights.

What We're Looking For

8+ years of experience in user or product research, with a strong emphasis on quantitative methods.
Experience leading survey research throughout the product development lifecycle, using insights to influence decisions.
Expertise in empirical survey methods and applications, including planning, statistical analysis, and concept testing.
Proficiency in R for statistical programming and survey data analysis.
Hands-on experience with SQL to manipulate behavioral data and integrate it into survey methods.
Ability to craft compelling narratives using quantitative data and visualizations.
Experience in fast-paced environments, adapting to changing priorities while maintaining research impact.
Strong judgment in balancing research depth and speed to deliver actionable insights.
Experience with mixed methods and qualitative research, collaborating with qualitative researchers.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build partnerships and drive alignment through insights.
