Technical Engineering Advisor

Xometry is looking for a Technical Engineering Advisor to support product development and production processes. In this role, you will connect customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing and successfully launched into production.

About the Role

As a Technical Engineering Advisor, you will play a crucial role in analyzing designs and coordinating product launches. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will help streamline manufacturing processes.

What You'll Do

• Perform Design for Manufacturing (DFM) analysis.
• Analyze 2D drawings and 3D models to ensure they meet technical requirements.
• Coordinate product development and production launch processes.
• Act as a liaison between customers and suppliers.
• Implement engineering changes in production systems.
• Conduct production risk analyses and develop action plans.
• Ensure timely completion of key production stages.
• Support continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.

What We're Looking For

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of GD&T and inspection/QA practices.
• Experience with 2D/3D CAD software.
• Ability to identify DFM issues from CAD models and technical drawings.
• Understanding of CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and/or 3D printing (preferred).

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field (preferred).

Experience

• 2–4 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• 1–2 years of hands-on experience with manufacturing processes (CNC, sheet metal, 3D printing).

Personal Qualities

• Strong attention to detail.
• Flexibility and adaptability.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solving mindset.

Language Requirements

• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Russian is an advantage.

Location
