At SailPoint, we are transforming enterprise identity governance with our Atlas Platform. We are looking for a VP of Engineering to lead our engineering vision and execution. This role is an opportunity to shape the future of identity security.

About the Role

As organizations undergo digital transformation, managing identity is crucial. Atlas addresses this challenge with a platform that combines identity unification, intelligence, policy enforcement, and scalability. You will lead a talented engineering team to build and enhance this platform.

What You'll Do

• Lead and grow a high-performing engineering organization for Atlas.
• Define and evolve the platform architecture for real-time access intelligence and policy automation.
• Champion an API-first strategy to support developers and partners.
• Drive execution across microservices, GraphQL APIs, and AI/ML-integrated services.
• Collaborate with teams in Product, Design, Security, and Field to bring our vision to life.

What You'll Own

• Core platform components: identity services, knowledge graphs, workflow engine, and data pipelines.
• Engineering strategy focused on extensibility, scale, observability, and developer experience.
• Developer platform capabilities including SDKs, APIs, integration tools, and marketplace components.
• Innovation pipeline for low-code capabilities, customizable UI, policy engine, and AI/ML extensibility.

What We're Looking For

• Proven leadership in building and leading platform engineering teams.
• Deep experience in cloud-native architecture, identity/security platforms, or large-scale data systems.
• Interest in API design and enhancing developer experiences.
• Ability to inspire and align teams across various locations and functions.
• Experience with graph databases, event-driven systems, or AI/ML pipelines is a plus.

What We Offer

The salary range for this role is:

• Base salary for US-based employees: $222,700 - $318,200 - $413,700.
