Join our team at Zapier as an Accounting Analyst focused on cash, revenue, and prepaids. You will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting our month-end close as we grow.

About the Role

As an Accountant at Zapier, you will report to Luis Ulloa. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who has a solid understanding of debits and credits and is eager to take on meaningful responsibilities in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

What You'll Do

• Record and reconcile cash transactions across multiple entities and currencies, ensuring accuracy.
• Reconcile bank accounts and payment processors to NetSuite, investigate discrepancies, and maintain cash visibility.
• Support daily revenue operations by reconciling payment processor reports and assisting with revenue recognition processes.
• Record and reconcile prepaid expenses and related amortization schedules for accurate expense recognition.
• Collaborate with Payroll, Tax, AP, and other teams to ensure accurate recording of cash and revenue-related transactions.
• Support the month-end close process by preparing reconciliations and explaining account variances.
• Assist with interim and annual audits by preparing schedules and providing documentation for your assigned areas.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives using Zapier’s automation tools and other systems.
• Work with NetSuite, FloQast, Excel, Chargebee, and Google Sheets to perform your responsibilities.
• Support ad-hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives as the company grows.

What We're Looking For

• A degree in Accounting (or equivalent) with 2+ years of experience in an accounting or general ledger role.
• Confidence in debits and credits and a solid understanding of financial statement transactions.
• Ability to manage time effectively, balancing recurring responsibilities with monthly close tasks.
• Clear and proactive communication skills, comfortable working across teams and documenting your work.
• Resourcefulness and coachability, with a willingness to research and ask questions when needed.
• A focus on accuracy, with a detail-oriented approach to reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies.
• An interest in improving processes and seeking opportunities to automate and streamline tasks.
