As a Billing Operations Analyst at GitLab, you will play a key role in supporting our global billing operations. You will manage the order-to-cash process, ensuring billing accuracy and efficiency while collaborating with various teams.

About the Role

In this position, you will focus on billing execution, from validating subscriptions to generating invoices and resolving issues. You'll work closely with teams like Deal Desk, Revenue, and Sales Operations to keep our billing processes running smoothly.

What You'll Do

• Review billing-related transactions and make decisions based on established guidelines.
• Support subscription validation, invoice generation, and daily billing tasks for your assigned queue and regional portfolio.
• Process workflows that sync quote and billing information between Salesforce and Zuora Billing.
• Monitor billing case queues, including Zendesk and Salesforce, and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
• Perform billing reconciliations and ensure data quality in operational tasks.
• Investigate deal configurations, resolve billing issues, and escalate concerns as needed.
• Collaborate with Sales Operations, Revenue Accounting, and other teams to achieve billing outcomes aligned with policies.
• Participate in user acceptance testing, process improvements, and training support related to billing systems.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in a high-volume billing environment, ideally with subscription-based processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transactional and reconciliation tasks.
• Comfortable with complex systems, including Zuora Billing, Salesforce CRM, and Google Workspace tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote environment.
• Good judgment in reviewing transactions and identifying issues for escalation.
• Clear communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders.
• A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience in documentation, training, testing, or process improvement.
• Familiarity with Slack is preferred but not required.

What We Offer

The base salary range for this role is $58,800 - $126,000 USD. This range reflects the base salary rate in various locations throughout the United States. Salary is determined based on interviews, education, experience, and market data.
