Business Development Representative, German Speaking
Join GitLab as a Business Development Representative (BDR) and help us connect with potential clients. In this role, you will lead outreach efforts to targeted accounts and work closely with our Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams.
About the Role
This position is fully remote and can be based in the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Germany, or Ireland. As a BDR, you will play a key role in generating qualified meetings and building a strong sales pipeline for GitLab.
What You'll Do
- Execute outbound prospecting initiatives to generate qualified meetings and pipeline in your assigned territory.
- Conduct discovery conversations with target accounts to understand their needs and qualify opportunities.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for Sales Accepted Opportunities (SAOs).
- Research and prioritize target accounts using industry knowledge to develop tailored outreach strategies.
- Use a multi-touch outreach approach (calls, emails, social media) to engage prospects effectively.
- Manage and report all prospecting activities in Salesforce to maintain clear visibility into performance.
- Collaborate with various teams to build targeted account lists and strategies, and attend regional marketing events.
- Document and improve BDR processes in the GitLab handbook and mentor new BDR hires.
What We're Looking For
- Fluency in German is required.
- Positive phone skills, excellent listening abilities, and strong writing skills.
- Ability to meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
- Proven initiative and ability to drive projects to successful outcomes.
- Understanding of business processes and organizational structures.
- Persistence in pursuing goals and learning from setbacks.
- Proficiency in Salesforce and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Previous experience in the tech industry or sales development is a plus.
- Proficiency in English is required for effective communication.
