As a Commercial Product Manager at Billtrust, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of our products. You will work closely with both internal teams and external partners to shape and document product requirements, ensuring we deliver top-notch invoice-to-cash solutions.

About the Role

This role involves collaborating with development and engineering teams to define product requirements and guide the implementation process. You will be an expert in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions, using your knowledge to drive the growth of our product portfolio.

What You'll Do

• Act as the main point of contact for product-related matters between the revenue side of the business and the product team.
• Maintain a prioritized backlog to ensure clear and efficient planning for each sprint.
• Evaluate new feature requests based on market demand, return on investment, and client impact.
• Manage the product scorecard and track key performance indicators aligned with business objectives.
• Provide transparent reporting on results and planning through automated tools.
• Guide clients on roadmap priorities effectively.
• Collaborate with sales to educate teams on the product's value.
• Work with development and engineering leads during product development as needed.
• Review monthly prospect win-loss reports with product marketing.
• Manage multiple large product initiatives to ensure successful outcomes within set timelines.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3-5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in financial, payment, or treasury product roles with a focus on detail preferred.
• Ability to manage product backlog effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of commercial ownership, including cost and revenue drivers.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented and cross-functional environment.
• Experience in SaaS, online payments, and software or product-centric businesses.
• Understanding of software solution design.
• Ability to plan for future strategies while maintaining current delivery models.
• Experience leading release activities from analysis to implementation.
• Comfortable working directly with clients in various settings.
• Able to work independently with minimal oversight.

Nice to Have

Experience in financial technology or related fields would be beneficial.
