Product Manager, Acquisitions Decisioning

At Mission Lane, we are on a mission to help millions achieve financial success through data, technology, and exceptional service. We are looking for a technical product thinker to join our Acquisitions Team as a Product Manager for Acquisitions Decisioning. In this role, you will manage the core logic of our customer acquisition engine, assessing risk and determining credit lines instantly during the application process.

About the Role

You will play a key role in refining our real-time decisioning infrastructure. Your work will bridge complex credit policies with technical execution, helping to build a scalable and secure decisioning platform. This will allow our Credit team to deploy new models quickly, reduce data costs, and prevent fraud effectively.

What You'll Do

  • Define and execute the product roadmap for our post-application decisioning engine, translating strategic goals into detailed technical requirements and user stories.
  • Collaborate with Data, Credit, and Engineering teams to implement complex underwriting models, ensuring business logic is accurately reflected in platform features.
  • Optimize our third-party data integrations to balance approval accuracy with cost efficiency.
  • Work with Fraud Operations to create real-time defenses against fraud and identity theft.
  • Monitor the decisioning platform's health to ensure high availability, low latency, and accurate error handling while maintaining a seamless customer experience.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of product management experience, particularly with backend decisioning systems.
  • Technical proficiency to discuss system architecture, APIs, and implementation trade-offs with engineers.
  • Experience using SQL to query data, analyze decision logs, and evaluate funnel performance.
  • A proven track record of managing complex projects across multiple teams.
  • Experience designing and conducting A/B tests.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data for decision-making and measuring success.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in fintech, lending, or financial services.
  • Experience managing platform products that rely on data exchange and API integrations.
  • Operational experience in fraud prevention or management.
  • Familiarity with credit bureau data or identity verification services.

What We Offer

Compensation: Annual full-time base salary range: $115,000 - $127,000. Additional compensation may include participation in our annual incentive program and equity, based on role. Pay is determined by factors such as experience, education, and skills.
