Product Manager, Districts
At ClassDojo, we aim to give every child an education they love. As a Product Manager for Districts, you will play a key role in shaping our offerings for district leaders. You will work closely with various stakeholders to understand their needs and drive the development of features that enhance communication and engagement.
About the Role
ClassDojo is a $1bn+ company known for its flagship app that connects K-8 teachers, children, and families. We are expanding our focus to include district-level communications, and we are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work and collaboration. You will be responsible for critical workflows and features that help us build partnerships, increase adoption, and improve retention.
What You'll Do
- Explore critical district workflows to ensure they are smooth and effective.
- Break down complex problems into manageable releases and establish meaningful metrics.
- Collaborate with GTM, CS, and Support teams to ensure successful launches and demonstrate value to districts.
- Develop district features that encourage teacher signups and engagement.
- Build platform capabilities that allow districts and partners to integrate with Dojo.
Example Problem Areas You’ll Drive
- Identify district roles and map their needs to our product.
- Make decisions on balancing improvements and new feature development.
- Help district leaders understand the value of our platform in relation to their goals.
- Manage district transitions to ensure a smooth experience and strong post-launch support.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of product management experience, particularly in enterprise or education workflows.
- Experience working with district or IT stakeholders is a plus.
- Ability to define MVPs and deliver iteratively with engineering and design teams.
- Comfort with data and using AI to inform decisions.
- Strong communication skills, especially with external stakeholders.
- Ability to balance district needs with creating excellent experiences for teachers and parents.
Nice to Have
- Experience with product-led growth strategies to improve activation and retention.
- Familiarity with SSO, rostering standards, and building integrations or APIs.
- Background in K-12 or youth-serving organizations.
What We Offer
We believe in designing roles around people, allowing for autonomy and collaboration. You will have the freedom to innovate while focusing on measurable outcomes. Our compensation is based on various factors, including location and experience. The estimated salary range for this role is:
- CA, WA, NY, NJ, CT: $200,000 - $270,000 (USD)
- All other states in the US: $170,000 - $229,500 (USD)
This role also includes an incentive pay component.
