As a Senior People Partner at Lumos, you'll play a key role in shaping our people strategy. You'll balance your time between HR Business Partnering and People Operations, making a real impact as we grow.

About the Role

At Lumos, we are transforming app and access management for organizations of all sizes. Since our launch, we have experienced rapid growth and have built a strong customer base. In this role, you will have the autonomy to craft and own our people processes, while also ensuring that our foundational operations run smoothly.

What You'll Do

  • People Business Partner: Manage HRBP relationships for your business groups, focusing on performance management, employee relations, talent development, organizational design, and team health. Proactively coach managers.
  • Performance & Talent Programs: Oversee performance cycles, Pulse surveys, and talent assessments. Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on business outcomes.
  • Employee Relations: Handle employee relations cases and sensitive situations independently. Maintain confidentiality and document thoroughly.
  • Facilitation & Internal L&D: Lead manager workshops, internal learning sessions, and program rollouts. Manage internal communications for all people topics.
  • AI & Automation: Identify and implement automation in the People function to create capacity for strategic work.
  • HR Tech & Data: Optimize the people tech stack and ensure data accuracy. Provide regular insights through reporting.
  • People Ops: Manage onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle processes while keeping compliant records.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously enhance cross-functional coordination and reduce manual overhead.
  • Benefits & Compliance Oversight: Serve as the internal contact for benefits and compliance, addressing employee questions and vendor issues.

What We're Looking For

  • 5–8 years of HR experience, including 3–5 years in an HRBP or business partner role, with a solid foundation in people operations.
  • Experience supporting GTM, Engineering, or mixed business groups at a startup.
  • Ability to independently manage performance, employee relations, and coaching.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to anticipate stakeholder needs and execute with precision.
  • Fluency in AI tools and a genuine interest in how AI can reshape HR operations.
  • Strong business acumen and curiosity about the organization’s goals and challenges.
  • Comfortable facilitating sessions with leaders and employees on sensitive topics.
  • Experience improving or implementing HR tools, not just using them.
  • A fresh perspective that aligns with Lumos's culture and needs.
  • Familiarity with tools like Culture Amp, HiBob, Deel, and Sequoia One is a plus.

What We Offer

  • Salary: $103,000 - $160,000 (This range is an estimate; actual pay may vary based on skills and experience.)
  • Remote Work: Enjoy a flexible remote work culture (+/- 4 hours Pacific Time).
  • Health Coverage: Medical, vision, and dental coverage fully paid by Lumos.
  • Team Bonding: Company and team bonding trips throughout the year, fully covered.
  • Flexible PTO: Minimum time off to ensure you are well-rested.
  • Parental Leave: Up to 16 weeks for expecting parents.
  • Wellness Stipend: Monthly wellness stipend to support your health.
  • Retirement Plan: 401k matching plan to help you save for the future.

Thank you for considering a career with Lumos. We look forward to hearing from you!
