Senior Platform Engineer/Site Reliability Engineer
Join FICO as a Senior Platform Engineer/Site Reliability Engineer. In this role, you will design, implement, and enhance our cloud-native platform infrastructure. About the Role
As a Senior Platform Engineer/SRE Engineer, you will contribute to our cloud infrastructure. Your expertise will help us create resilient systems that support our innovative projects. You will work closely with various teams to ensure our platform is efficient and secure.
What You'll Do
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud solutions on AWS using Infrastructure as Code.
- Manage infrastructure as code with CloudFormation, Terraform, and GoLang.
- Implement Kubernetes-based platform solutions focusing on scalability, reliability, and security.
- Support and maintain large Kubernetes clusters in production environments.
- Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to integrate infrastructure as code practices.
- Automate Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment processes.
- Develop automation for building and deploying Docker Containers through CI/CD pipelines.
- Write policy and standard validation tests, integrating with security scanning software.
- Implement and support observability solutions for platform performance and reliability.
- Create dashboards and integrate them into Backstage IDP for system health visibility.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in cloud and platform engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.
- Strong proficiency with AWS services, including compute, storage, and networking.
- Deep knowledge of AWS EKS, VPC Configuration, AWS WAF, S3, RDS, and other cloud services.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows for Kubernetes delivery.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, GoLang, and Python.
- Familiarity with ArgoCD, Argo Workflows, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions; Crossplane experience is a plus.
- Experience with service mesh technologies like Istio and Envoy.
- Programming skills in GoLang and/or Python for platform tooling and automation.
- Experience with Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Backstage.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of SRE or Software Engineering practices.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, DevOps Engineer) preferred.

- The targeted base pay range for this role is $105,000 to $165,000, depending on your knowledge, skills, and experience.
