At 1Password, we’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to help shape secure and user-friendly digital experiences. You will lead the design of innovative product features that make security accessible for everyone. Your work will directly impact how individuals and businesses manage their digital safety.

About the Role

As a Senior Product Designer, you will own complex design challenges from start to finish. You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to create high-quality solutions that meet customer needs and align with business goals. This is a remote opportunity available to candidates in Canada and the US.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design of key product areas from discovery to delivery, ensuring clarity and alignment with cross-functional teams.
• Work closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to shape roadmaps and define success metrics.
• Advocate for customer needs and inclusive design while balancing security and business requirements.
• Share your work early and often, facilitating discussions to enhance design quality.
• Maintain high standards for design quality, usability, and consistency across platforms.
• Mentor junior designers through feedback and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to improving design processes and tools.
• Communicate design rationale clearly to stakeholders, using storytelling and evidence to influence decisions.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of design experience at a product-driven company.
• Hands-on experience with agentic development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code) and understanding of AI interactions with codebases and APIs.
• Ability to simplify complex multi-agent experiences into user-friendly designs.
• Proficiency in Figma, with interest in Figma AI/Make and AI-generated UIs.
• A portfolio showcasing your design process and impact on users and business results.
• Experience collaborating with Engineering, Product Management, and User Research.
• Strong product thinking and decision-making skills based on user research and data.
• Ability to balance flexibility, power, and ease of use in design.
• Strong ownership, independence, and a growth mindset.
• Interest or experience in cybersecurity and SaaS products.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing for developer, security, privacy, or regulated products.
• Familiarity with AI agents, Model Context Protocol (MCP), or similar standards.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
• Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Experience evolving design systems.
• Curiosity about cybersecurity and the role of design in building trust.

• Mentor other designers and contribute to design culture.
• Provide regular feedback to peers, helping elevate design quality.

What We Offer

For USA-based roles, the annual base salary ranges from $148,000 to $181,000, plus benefits including health, dental, 401k, paid time off, equity grants, and incentive programs.

For Canada-based roles, the annual base salary ranges from $129,000 to $181,000, plus benefits including health, dental, RRSP, paid time off, equity grants, and incentive programs.
