At Housecall Pro, we help home service professionals improve their businesses and lives. As a Senior Product Manager II, you will lead our RiskSquad, working to protect our platform while ensuring a seamless experience for our users.

About the Role

Housecall Pro is a software platform designed for residential field service professionals. We provide essential tools for scheduling, dispatching, and managing daily operations, along with financial and customer communication features. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams to identify and address risks, ensuring the safety of money movement and communication for our users.

What You'll Do

  • Own the risk roadmap, focusing on payments, account takeover, money movement, and communication abuse.
  • Work closely with engineering and Risk Operations to assess and manage risks while balancing user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Translate operational challenges into actionable product improvements and enhance workflows.
  • Lead initiatives across teams to implement risk protections that span multiple domains.
  • Design scalable risk capabilities, including signals, limits, and policy frameworks.
  • Manage incident response for emerging fraud patterns and ensure effective remediation.
  • Evaluate third-party solutions to enhance our risk management efforts.
  • Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders through concise documentation.

What We're Looking For

  • 6+ years of product management experience, preferably in fintech, security, or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven recommendations.
  • Experience leading impactful product initiatives from concept to launch.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships across teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously and lead cross-functional efforts.
  • Proven capability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to assess trade-offs.
  • Comfortable working closely with engineering teams and understanding technical systems.
  • Data fluency, including defining metrics and using data for iteration (SQL knowledge is a plus).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with account security patterns and fraud prevention measures.
  • Familiarity with payment networks and related concepts.
  • Knowledge of email/SMS deliverability and abuse prevention strategies.
  • Experience building shared platform services and risk management tools.
  • Vendor evaluation experience in fraud and security tools.
  • Experience using AI tools and automation to improve team efficiency.

What We Offer

The expected salary range for this role is $147,600 - $164,000, plus equity. Your specific salary will be based on your skills, experience, and location. We also provide:
