Senior Product Manager - Onboarding Platform
Join Kraken as a Senior Product Manager for our Onboarding Platform. In this role, you will lead the strategy and execution of onboarding and verification experiences for our diverse clients. You will play a key part in our growth by enhancing client journeys and driving adoption.
About the Role
The Growth team at Kraken focuses on creating seamless and engaging client experiences. As a Senior Product Manager, you will oversee the onboarding platform strategy, ensuring it meets the needs of our consumer, business, and institutional clients.
What You'll Do
- Define and own the onboarding platform strategy, focusing on identity verification, KYC workflows, and client activation.
- Lead the rearchitecture of Kraken’s onboarding platform to improve reliability and reduce operational risk.
- Build a self-serve onboarding platform for product and engineering teams to launch flows and experiments independently.
- Collaborate with engineering to enhance core onboarding capabilities like identity verification and compliance workflows.
- Transform isolated onboarding flows into a unified platform, enabling new product launches through reusable capabilities.
- Align stakeholders across product, engineering, compliance, and operations to support regulatory requirements and product velocity.
- Define success metrics for the onboarding platform to improve activation rates and team efficiency.
- Anticipate regulatory changes and build scalable infrastructure for global expansion.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of product management experience, particularly in building platforms or internal tools.
- Experience delivering platform or self-serve products for internal teams.
- Ability to translate technical work into business impact and influence stakeholder priorities.
- Experience leading large-scale platform evolutions while balancing system health and product delivery.
- Track record of enabling teams through documentation, self-serve tools, and APIs.
- Strong communication skills, including writing strategy documents and narratives for senior leadership.
- A genuine interest in Bitcoin and crypto, aligning with Kraken’s mission for global adoption.
Nice to Have
- Understanding of onboarding, identity verification, or regulated workflows, including KYC/AML in fintech or crypto.
