Join Our Team as a Senior Strategy & Planning Analyst
At Grafana Labs, we are looking for a Senior Strategy & Planning Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage our planning and capacity models, analyze productivity metrics, and collaborate with various teams to support our growth. You will be a key player in shaping our strategy and ensuring our processes scale effectively.
About the Role
You will report to the Manager of Strategy & Planning. Your main responsibilities will include maintaining and enhancing our planning models, building analytics for measuring productivity, and providing data support for workforce planning decisions. You will work closely with the Data, Field Ops, and Finance teams to ensure our planning processes are efficient and effective.
What You'll Do
Planning & Capacity Modeling:
- Own and enhance our core planning and capacity models in Pigment.
- Maintain workforce planning infrastructure, including headcount models and role-based productivity assumptions.
- Build scalable, self-service planning processes to reduce manual coordination.
- Document model logic, assumptions, and data flows for cross-functional understanding.
GTM Productivity & Analytics:
- Define and measure capacity across all GTM teams: Sales, SE, CX, SDR, and Partners.
- Analyze rep productivity metrics such as deal cycle time and win rates.
- Build standard reporting on GTM performance to support planning decisions.
- Identify trends in productivity and capacity to inform hiring and territory planning.
Cross-Functional Partnership:
- Work with the Data team to identify gaps in reporting and build scalable solutions.
- Collaborate with the Field Ops team to translate operational needs into planning models.
- Interface with Finance on headcount planning and capacity forecasting.
- Support the Manager of Strategy & Planning on strategic questions from GTM leadership.
Building for Scale:
- Document data models and business logic for stakeholder self-service.
- Translate analysis into clear narratives for leadership to drive decision-making.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years in strategy & operations, consulting, GTM analytics, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong SQL skills—comfortable writing queries and understanding data quality issues.
- Demonstrated modeling skills in workforce planning and capacity analysis.
- Experience with planning or FP&A tools like Pigment or Anaplan.
- Clear communication skills to explain complex analysis in simple terms.
- Familiarity with Sales or GTM organizations and common metrics.
- Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to drive work autonomously.
- Located in the United States, UK, Ireland, Netherlands, or Spain.
Nice to Have
- Experience with BI tools like Grafana, Tableau, or Looker.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and GTM productivity tools.
- Exposure to sales methodologies and GTM planning processes.
- Previous experience in open source or developer-focused SaaS companies.
What We Offer
Compensation & Rewards:
In the United Kingdom, the OTE (On-Target Earnings) compensation range for this role is GBP 52,530 - GBP 65,663. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed throughout the interview process.
