In this role, you will conduct and guide research in cybersecurity. You’ll lead analyses, establish processes, mentor junior analysts, and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization. About the Role
As a Sr. Research Development Analyst, you will have a meaningful impact on how cybersecurity research informs decision-making. You will lead complex analyses and support the development of effective research practices.
What You'll Do
- Lead in-depth research and analysis on various cybersecurity topics, including emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Drive the design and adoption of R&D processes, workflows, and internal standards.
- Create and ensure the quality of high-impact research deliverables, such as reports and frameworks.
- Maintain data accuracy across R&D systems and research repositories.
- Provide project leadership for multiple R&D initiatives, including managing timelines and coordinating teams.
- Translate complex technical findings into clear insights for diverse audiences.
- Perform advanced data analysis to identify trends and implications within research findings.
- Act as a mentor and subject-matter resource for junior analysts.
- Utilize Microsoft 365 tools to support collaboration and communication.
- Use Generative AI tools to enhance research and improve efficiency.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity research, analysis, IT, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity tools, frameworks, and industry standards.
- Ability to independently research complex topics and create well-structured written content.
- Experience developing and documenting repeatable processes.
- Advanced organizational skills to manage multiple initiatives.
- Strong data analysis skills, including working with large datasets.
- Programming experience (e.g., Python) for automation and data analysis.
- Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries.
- Familiarity with reporting and analytics platforms.
- Experience mentoring less-experienced team members.
- Background in cybersecurity through professional experience, education, or certifications.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience using Generative AI tools for research and content creation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus).
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting or partnering with sales or go-to-market teams.
- Strong business acumen to frame cybersecurity insights in a business context.
- Prior experience in consulting, enterprise IT, or complex cybersecurity environments.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications.

- Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000 per year.
