About the Role

Wealthsimple is expanding its Product Design team and is looking for both Senior and Staff Product Designers across different product areas, including Investing and Banking. Instead of filling a single position, we want to find exceptional designers who can help us define what personal finance looks like in Canada. When you apply, we’ll match your strengths and interests with our team needs.

What You'll Do

• Design impactful product experiences that help clients make informed financial decisions.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, content, and research teams throughout the product development process.
• Own the entire design process, from early discovery and prototyping to high-fidelity visuals and micro-interactions.
• Conduct research and analyze data to understand client needs and inform design choices.
• Help enhance our design system and ensure consistency and quality across products.
• Set high standards for quality and clarity in your work and within the team.

What We're Looking For

• Experience designing consumer-facing mobile apps (React Native, native iOS/Android).
• Strong UX and visual design skills, able to simplify complex problems into elegant solutions.
• A user-focused mindset and a good sense of product priorities.
• A collaborative approach with clear communication skills.
• Experience working with product and engineering teams to launch real products.
• A genuine interest in personal finance, banking, investing, or financial planning tools.
• For Senior Designers: Proven experience in delivering high-quality work from start to finish.
• For Staff Designers: Experience leading significant initiatives, mentoring others, and enhancing design quality and strategy.

Nice to Have

Experience in leading design initiatives and mentoring team members is a plus.
