Treasury Analyst at Canonical
As a Treasury Analyst at Canonical, you'll play a vital role in managing our global liquidity and cash movements. You'll work closely with our Finance team to ensure we adhere to our Treasury Policy while supporting cash management and financial risk strategies.
About the Role
This is a globally remote position. You will be responsible for overseeing cash management activities and providing insights that support decision-making for our senior leadership team.
What You'll Do
- Maintain controls over group cash, banking, and investment activities to ensure compliance with governance policies.
- Execute and track treasury operations, including funding movements, payments, and account activity.
- Monitor liquidity and working capital needs to optimize cash utilization while maintaining necessary buffers.
- Support the company’s FX risk strategy by monitoring exposures and executing approved FX activities.
- Act as the main contact for banking counterparties, managing the company’s banking setup and relationships.
- Produce regular treasury reports and ad-hoc analyses for senior management, highlighting key movements, risks, and recommendations.
- Contribute to the improvement of Treasury Policy, controls, and operational processes.
- Develop and maintain detailed rolling cash flow forecasts at subsidiary and consolidated levels.
- Formulate and execute approved investment strategies for surplus cash, balancing security, liquidity, and yield.
What We're Looking For
- High ethical standards, integrity, and credibility.
- Experience managing funds in 20+ currencies across multiple corporate entities.
- CTP, CFA, or equivalent certification in Treasury or Analysis.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and financial modeling.
- Experience with enterprise-level financial management software, such as NetSuite.
- Strong financial and mathematical abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong academic background from high school and preferably university.
- Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events.
Nice to Have
- MBA or equivalent combination of professional experience and certifications.
- Experience with Business Intelligence reporting, CRM, and ERP systems.
