As a UX Researcher at GitLab, you will be a key part of our UX Research team. You will support various product areas, including DevOps workflows, monetization, and security. This role offers you the chance to dive into technical domains and make a real impact through your research.

About the Role

You will join GitLab's UX Research team, working on different product domains. Your focus will be on leading tactical studies to help teams make quick decisions and contributing to strategic research to uncover user needs and opportunities. This role requires adaptability, as you will need to balance speed with thoroughness based on team requirements.

You will collaborate closely with Senior and Staff UX Researchers, Product Design, and Product Management teams.

What You'll Do

• Become an expert on users in your area: understand how they use GitLab, their pain points, and workflows.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers on various research projects.
• Conduct all stages of UX research: from planning to analyzing and reporting insights.
• Use a mix of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Communicate project statuses and updates to stakeholders.
• Advocate for actionable insights to increase empathy within the team.
• Produce impactful research insights.
• Participate in research conducted by Senior and Staff Researchers to gain exposure to complex projects.
• Contribute to the UX Research team culture by improving processes and participating in peer reviews.

What We Offer

The base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $150,000 USD. This range is for residents of the United States and reflects the role's base salary rate across various locations in the country.
