Inbound Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Join our team at Customer.io as an Inbound Sales Development Representative (SDR). In this role, you will connect with potential customers and help them understand how our platform can meet their needs. You will be the first point of contact for incoming leads, guiding them through the qualification process and setting up meetings for our sales team.

About the Role

Hi, I’m Kaleb! I lead the Inbound Sales Development team here at Customer.io, and we’re excited to grow our EMEA team. As an Inbound SDR, you will work closely with our marketing and sales teams to ensure we have high-quality leads and build a strong pipeline. We value curiosity and a willingness to learn, so you don’t need to be an expert right away. What’s important is your eagerness to make an impact.

What You'll Do

  • Be the first point of contact for inbound leads, understanding their needs and starting the qualification process.
  • Qualify leads from various sources, such as our website and product trials, to determine their fit and readiness to speak with an Account Executive.
  • Schedule meetings between decision-makers and our sales team.
  • Maintain accurate records of lead interactions and pipeline status in our CRM.
  • Collaborate with marketing to ensure lead quality and provide feedback to improve our process.
  • Follow up with prospects who have shown interest but aren’t ready to move forward.
  • Regularly update your manager and team on pipeline health and progress toward goals.

What We're Looking For

  • Located in either the United Kingdom or Ireland (hard requirement).
  • Comfortable talking to people and able to communicate clearly.
  • Resilient in the face of rejection and motivated to keep going.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot.
  • A track record of meeting goals for lead qualification and meeting scheduling.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.

Nice to Have

  • 1–2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in SaaS or tech.
  • Prior experience in inbound sales at a SaaS company.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and lead nurturing processes.

What We Offer

We believe in transparency. The compensation for this role is $60,000 base + $27,768 variable = $87,768 USD OTE (or equivalent in local currency) depending on experience and subject to market rate adjustment.

Our Process
